Mental Health Worker – De-Escalation Training
De-Escalation Training For Mental Health Workers - NZ
Resolution Education is a New Zealand specialist OVA provider, and our de-escalation training for mental health workers is built around the A.D.P. Framework (Awareness, De-escalation, Protection), tailored to the specific settings and situations mental health staff face.
We have created a training course specifically designed for the mental health industry to combat incidences of violent behaviour in the workplace. We’ll teach strategies to manage challenging patients and to defuse volatile situations.
Following the guiding principle of Resolve if you can, defend if you must, restraint is used as a last resort. We show how to control your patients calmly without causing harm whilst keeping yourself protected and safe at work.
If you work in a hospital, see our Hospital Staff and Nurses pages. If you support people with disability, see Support Services & NDIS.
